Christina Romer was born December 25, 1958. She is the professor of Economics at the University of California, Berkeley and current Chair of the Council of Economic Advisers in the Obama's administration.
She will resign from her role on the Council of Economic Advisers on September 3, 2010. Christina will become a member of the President's Economic Recovery Advisory Board.
Christina Romer was vice president of the American Economic Association, a John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation Fellowship recipient, a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and a winner of the Berkeley Distinguished Teaching Award.
